Vintage Flowers

Hello,  well, the washing and ironing is done and the garden tidied up after the growing spurt while we were away, so a little play to get motivated again.
I'm still determined to keep using neglected stamps and this Stampendous Jumbo Rosehip stamp was bought after seeing an article in Craft Stamper in March 2015!  there are two stamps in the set and the smaller one had been inked up once.  Plain and simple and coloured with Wilted Violet and Evergreen bough Distress inks.  The base layer used the smaller stamp, inked with Frayed Burlap.

We had a lovely city break in Budapest, the weather was hotter than I'd imagined - 30 degrees on Friday.  It's a beautiful city and with lots of green spaces and a wonderful park with lakes at Vajdahunyad Castle on the Pest Side.

The Parliament building is fabulous
A wonderful Central Market selling fresh produce to souvenirs
Buda Castle

And most importantly, somewhere nice for coffee

Well, if you didn't get bored and are still with me, thanks for visiting,
Avril xx

A very pretty card, Avril - and thank you for sharing your lovely photos of Budapest in the sunshine. I also loved it when I visited, but that was in January - so it was snowy - but I did get to swim in the amazing Szechenyi Baths in the snowy twilight, which was beyond magical! Glad to hear you had a wonderful time.

What a beautiful card Avril, so good to get those older stamps out such a pretty design to be hidden away.
Your break away looked amazing and to be blessed with such warm weather must have been a real treat. I've never been to Budapest but heard glorious things about it.. Fabulous photographs, thank you for sharing.
After the washing, ironing and all that gardening you will be in need of another break away!!

So gorgeous, I just love that flower image! Wow, what a gorgeous place to visit, that building is so amazing! Looks like a beautiful day out too. It's still quite dark and overcast here, but I think we've seen the last of winter. On to warmer days hopefully. sending hugs :)

Looks like a beautiful place and so pleased you had the weather to go with it... it certainly helps!

Welcome back and I hope you get into your stamping again much more quickly than I'm doing after a busy week!

Your vintage card is beautiful! I love how you created the background too with the smaller stamp to leave a pretty outline of the flowers - stunning 😀. Wow, Budapest looks amazing and I so enjoyed seeing the sights with with you, thanks so much! Happy Friday and enjoy your weekend! J 😊 x
