Zesty Colours at Alphabet Challenge

Please do not adjust your screen - it is me!  After all the recent vintage makes,  you might think there had been a malfunction, but no - its  'Z' for Zesty Colours - our new  theme at Alphabet Challenge this fortnight.

Bright colours - well it had to be this sassy Couture stamp from Dylusions.
For my base tag,  I used a Creative Expressions mask with Spiced Marmalade. My image, was stamped and then paper pieced with some lime green scraps, and she was given a 'face' which was scanned from a Graphic 45 paper ( I didn't want any colour).  The flowers, a Joycraft die, were coloured with Squeezed Lemonade, so lots of zesty colours. The sentiment, which is from Peerlees Designs, was 'slightly' rearranged!

I hope you will join us for this challenge, and if you need any inspiration for your zesty colours, please pop over to the main blog for lots of inspiration.
I am entering this at:
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
  Rogue Redhead - Paper Piecing
Rhedd and Rosie challenge - Anything Goes
Stamping for the weekend - Anything Goes

That's it for now, hope you all have a great weekend.

Why don't you 'Tag Along' at Fashionable Stamping

As you may have guessed, 'Tags' is the theme this fortnight at Fashionable Stamping Challenge and as long as your creations has Tags and stamping - then that's OK by us.
I'm still playing with my Oxford Impressions 'April in Paris' stamps, and I have used another of the photo stamps for my image.  My tag, had been used to mop up some Tumbled Glass DI after a ribbon dying session, I spritzed and added more ink, this time Broken China and Faded Jeans. I random stamped some script and a TH Flower swirl in Iced Spruce.  Embossed the top with TH EF and distressed with Iced Spruce, then brushed with Treasure Gold in Aquamarine.
I used a Nesti label for the frame and embossed first with Black EP, and then MoonGlow EPs in Violet, Sapphire, Obsidian and Golden Angel Wings, I should use these more as they give a beautiful metallic effect. Whilst the powders were still molten, I stamped with a floral background stamp, that had been inked with Gold.  When it was cold, I removed the stamp and added some more Aquamarine Treasure Gold to the edges.

The larger 2 roses were made with an EK Success Retro punch, again something I haven't used for a long time.  A bling brad was added to attach the dyed  vintage ribbon.
If you need any inspiration, please pop over to the main blog and see what my very talented teamies have created.  Also, don't forget, we are sponsored by Flonzcraft who are offering one lucky random winner a $20 gift cert for their online store.

'Celebrations' at TioT

It's time to Celebrate at 'Try it on Tuesday' this fortnight and we would like to see what you are Celebrating - this can be a Wedding, Engagement, New Arrival, Birthday or even Chinese New Year.
My friend's only daughter has just had a baby Girl, so of course ......A New Baby card!
I have used my favourite (and only) baby stamp - PSX Moon Baby.  I used a Marianne die for the card shape  to make an easel card, and Nesti Scallop and Circle dies for layering.  I used Spun Sugar DI  for distressing and colouring, and of course Glamour Dust for the moon which isn't showing too well. The sentiment was created on the comp. and a little heart button from stash to complete.

This was a bit of a nightmare to photograph - dark days and a mainly white card just don't go!
My very talented teamies have lots to celebrate, so please pop over to the main blog to see what they have created.
I am entering this card at:
  Crafty Calendar - Lets Celebrate
Crafts for Eternity - Fancy Folds
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
  Creative Craft Challenges - New
  Flourishes Timeless Tuesday - New

Thanks for looking,

Lavender and Lace

I just had to have a 'play day' - well........I'm not really up to doing housework, I've still got a bad cough (that's my excuse this week) and as I got new goodies for Christmas, it's a bit of a sin not to 'play' with these Oxford Impressions 'April in Paris' stamps.
A couple of months ago over at FSC, the lovely Shirley set us a challenge of Shabby/Chic Christmas, and I realised that I didn't really 'shabby' - more vintage - so I thought I should try to improve my 'shabby' - and the challenge at Vintage Stamping Challenge this month is Lavender and Lace - so perfect!
My 'lady' stamped beautifully, I decided to 'tint' her lips and cheeks to make it look more vintage, love the effect. The papers, old Papermania, are stitched and 'shabbied' to within an inch of their lives! The roses are a mix of ribbon and paper and my faux ribbon is paper.

I am also entering this at:
  Country View Challenges - Monochromatic
Sugar Creek Hollow - Something New
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
SimonSays Monday challenge - Anything Goes
Heck of a Challenge - New - mines new stamps
  Bunny Zoes - Stitching

Thanks for all the lovely comments on my last project - I really appreciated them, especially as this it was a bit out of my comfort zone.

Hearts & Flowers at Fashionable Stamping

It's time for another challenge at Fashionable Stamping and this time the theme is Hearts and Flowers.

I'm just getting back to normal, but still have such a cough -I won't tell you what hubby says I sound like!
Anyhow, even though I wasn't crafting, the brain was willing, and this idea of hearts and dreaming of love took root.  Like everyone of you, I have too much 'stuff '  bought  for all the ideas, and then put away for 'playtime'.  Need to change that!
I've had this chipboard heart for almost a year, it's about 5 1/2" across. It was painted with PaperArtsy Snowflake, and then a Matchpot cream, then distressed with Tattered Rose, Bundled Sage, Tumbled Glass, Frayed Burlap, and Vintage Photo DIs. Now for the stamping, first with a script on the right hand side, then the image, Rubber Stampeed 'Woman in Repose' was stamped onto tissue paper, and the hard outline torn away.  The roses were torn from a paper napkin (bought a while ago - with good intentions) and and all added  to the heart with watered down PVA. The word Dream is an Inkylicous stamp.

I hope you will join us for this challenge and show us your 'hearts and flowers' and if you need any inspiration, then my very talented teamies have some wonderful creations to show to please pop over to the main blog to see.  Don't forget our sponsor for this challenge is Flonzcraft who are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in their online store.

I am entering this at:
  Ali-craft challenge - Anything Goes
  Eclectic Paperie - Altered hearts
Altered Eclectics - november - february anything goes
Artistic Stamper - Love is in the Air
Our Creative Corner - No More Shopping Sins

Well that's it for now, enjoy your Sunday.

'In with the New' at Try it on Tuesdays

A very belated Happy New Year to you,  I hope you all enjoyed the festivities of the last couple of weeks.
Unfortunately, I woke up on Christmas morning with a very unwanted cold and spent most of the time feeling very sorry for myself, and I'm still struggling to get back to 'normal'.
Fortunately, my Christmas present to me arrived before Christmas and I couldn't wait to play with the Graphic45 Couture papers and a set of stamps- and, as I needed something 'New' for our challenge at Try it on Tuesday this week, it was the perfect excuse!
The rest of the team have lots of 'New' to show, from 'new techniques to 'new' crafting goodies, so please pop over to the main blog and check them out.
I'm hoping to start catching up with everyone in the next couple of days, but would just like to say it's lovely to see new followers who have joined in the last couple of weeks - I really appreciate all your support on my creative journey.

I am entering this at:
  Allsorts - Free and Easy
Sugar Creek Hollow - Something New
A Creative Romance - Something New
