Hi and welcome to a new challenge at
Fashionable Stamping, and this time we would love to see your 'alterations', but don't forget, as we are a stamping challenge we still need to see some stamping. We are again sponsored by
Flonzcraft who are offering a random winner a $20 gift cert. to spend in their online store.
A few weeks ago you might remember I made a book cover following
this tutorial, and I have been wanting to try the technique again, decided on a refresher but for some reason the video wouldn't play after about 30 mins. so I improvised! - I missed out the black layer, and did a bit more spraying!! Still love the results.
I almost forgot to take a picture of 'before'!
I wanted roughly the same colours as before, but this time I also used Perfect Pearls Forever Violet mist, and instead of finishing with a dry brushed layer of white to highlight, I used Adirondack Gold paint, and then Aquamarine Treasure Gold over the top.
For the inside, as we are a stamping challenge I made my own papers to line the box. I used Distress inks, Tumbled Glass, Dusty Concord, Iced Spruce and Wild Honey, and then spritzed with water, love this effect. The stamps are Tim Holtz, and Inkylicious branches that my butterfly is escaping from, I also used Crafters Workshop masks with Embossing paste for the script and the butterflies on the side panels.
My very talented teamies have some wonderful alterations to show you, so please pop over
here for some wonderful inspiration.

Thank you for all your lovely comments lately, I really do appreciate them, especially as I haven't had much time to return them this week - I have made the Wedding Cake - 4 tiers, plus 1 extra just in case there isn't enough! DD has finally made her mind up on the Invitations, so a start has been made there too.
Have a great Sunday whatever you're doing.
