Butterfly tag and everything but the Kitchen sink!

Hello - there's no temptation to go out into the garden today, so before I give in to the urge of getting messy, again, thought I'd show this tag that was made to accommodate the butterfly - yes, I made the butterfly first! I used a combination of Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio, and Picked Raspberry and then Rock Candy crackle paint.
Loved the look of it so much I had to make a tag using the same colours, some stencilling, script stamping, flick and spritz, a spray with Dylusions White Linen, which got covered up, embossing paste, Aquamarine Treasure Gold, more Picked Raspberry over the top as that didn't look right, and then the edges distressed with Walnut Stain after being toned down with Faded Jeans, it's a good job these inks all blend with each other.   Oh yes, don't forget, a ribbon dyed with Picked Raspberry and Salt Ocean and TH Stuff to Say stamped onto Vellum, as I said everything but the kitchen sink!

Butterfly

Hello, and thanks for visiting,   I bought Tim's Butterfly Duo a few weeks ago and this is the first time I've had to use it and this bit of the Mixed Media die that I got in March - where does the time go!  My butterfly was cut out from leftover sprayed paper, I highlighted the embossed parts with Cracked Pistachio and then coated it with Clear Rock Candy crackle paint. To give it a bit more depth I added a vellum butterfly underneath, again highlighting the embossed parts with Cracked Pistachio.  Both my backgrounds were coloured with Cracked Pistachio, Picked Raspberry and Squeezed Lemonade, and Iced Spruce added to the lower one.

April in Love at FSC

Time for another challenge over at Fashionable Stamping and this time it's 'April in Love'
So as long as you follow the theme of 'Love' and the stamping is the focal point, it would be lovely if you could join us.  We have Flonzcraft as our Sponsor who are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in their online store.
I have used one of our sponsors images - 'Gibson Lovers'  stamped onto cream card and distressed around the image with Antique Linen and Victorian Velvet.  The Spellbinders - Romantic Rectangle frames were also distressed with the same colours and some matching roses complete the card.

Just a short post as I've some catching up to do, we've just had a few days away to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary,  you see April really is the month for love and this was DH's card.
Thanks for your visit today and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

New Beginnings at Try it on Tuesday

It's time for another challenge at Try it on Tuesday and this time the theme is 'New Beginnings' - babies, weddings, new homes, new job, it's up to you how you interpret this.
I've made another New Baby card for one of DDs friends - I've lost count of the number of baby cards I've made in the last year - and this isn't the last!
By way of a change, I've made an easel card using a LOTV image stamped onto a Nesti oval, this was paper pieced with the DP.
The rest of the team have some fabulous inspiration, so please pop over here to have a look.

The look of Innocence

Hello and thanks for visiting today, hasn't it been a wonderful week weather wise.  I'm afraid I've been a bit absent from the craft room spending long hard days in the garden tidying up and cutting back. Today it's too windy s so I've managed a couple of hours fun and used my new Generation Redux stamps from Artistic Outpost that I bought on sale at Quixoticpaperie a couple of weeks ago.
I went with soft shades for my young innocent girl using Spun Sugar with a  touch of Bundled sage and Tumbled glass DIs.  The background was inked, spritzed and stamped with the small background flower.
I used the sentiment from the Think and Wonder set. I did add some Glamour Dust to the flower on the main image.

Off now to do a bit catching up with everyone.

Page 2- Create!

Well here we are with page 2!
Still in the 'learning' stage with this journal and trying to be creative, which my little person definitely is.
I'm learning to 'embrace' the imperfections on here -can't get the lettering straight, so I think I need to keep practicing and think of another theme for page 3.
Again I am going to link this to Brenda's blog ,Bumblebees and Butterflies where she's hosting a blog party to share visual journal  inspiration, but this time see if I can get the link right.
