Let's Get Messy at Try it on Tuesday

Hello, today sees the start of a new challenge at Try it on Tuesday and for this fortnight we would like to see you getting messy.

On a recent attempt to tidy up my craft room I unearthed a Journal I started last year,  so this challenge gave me the prompt to add another page.

The background was made with Wrinkle free distress using Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled glass.  Some stenciling with Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberry.  The flower and cross hatch are from a PA Jofy set, the Runway girl and sentiment are time Holtz.

The rest of the DT have some wonderful inspiration so please pop over to the main blog for all the details.

As always, thanks for calling in and I hope you have a great day,
Avril xx

Just a Number at FSC

Hello, it's time for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges and for this month the theme is 'Just a Number'  You can interpret this any way you like as long as there's stamped numbers on your project.  For all the details and inspiration please pop over to the main blog where the rest of the DT have some wonderful projects to show.

For my project I've used lots of numbers on my inky background, as well as some stamped numbered ephemera.
My main image, the girls from Artistic Outpost's Paper Boys set, was stamped and masked enabling me to overstamp the background.  I coloured the image and also stamped it onto acetate and attached using vintage photo corners to hide the tiny blobs of Glossy Accents holding it in place.  I stamped the Film strip and fussy cut the girls to fit.

It would be lovely to see you join in with this challenge as we have Flonzcraft as our sponsor and they are offering one lucky random winner a $20 spend in their online store.

I am entering this card at:
Craft Stamper - Anything Goes with Stamping
Penny Black and More - Use your Favorite stamp (Love AO's Paper girls)

That's all from me today, thanks as always for calling in.  Have a great day,
Avril xx

Colour My World

Hello,  and as always, thanks for calling in.

I bought a couple of dies in the Country View Crafts Advent Sale in December and this is my first play with the TH Mini Globe.
I cut the globe from a textured silver card and coloured with Alcohol inks.  I also cut a base circle and coloured that with Salty Ocean DI.
For the background I used Transparent texture paste through a stencil and when dry, I used Bundled Sage, Tumbled Glass and Dusty Concord inks to colour my base card.  My sentiment was computer generated, and with those words, I was able to add in a little floral spray.

I am entering this at

Love to Create - Challenge 3

Well, that's it for today, I need to get my thinking cap on and knuckle down to some DT work!

Young Dreams

Hello and thanks for calling in, well I've gone back to my love of vintage to get the creative mojo started again.   This was going to be a tag, but as I've got a few birthdays coming up, it ended up as a DL card,  I quite like this size.

The background was created with a new to me Tim Holtz Nordic background stamp, I've got the stencil, but I love this smaller pattern.
I couldn't find a suitable size picture in the Found Relatives pack so after a little internet search,  I found this lovely young girl,  resized her and printed out onto photo paper.
A few bits and pieces from my stash and some Wildflower die cuts tied with string.

I am entering this at:
Shopping Our Stash - Days of Yore

Hopefully, there might be some more crafting tomorrow as no one's coming for lunch, easy day.
Have a great weekend,
Avril xx
